Dead fish washing up around lake

We have received  a few calls over the last several days about dead fish washing up on the shores around Owasco Lake. The Owasco watershed inspector Jessica Reinhart has indicated that at this point there is not a cause for concern. Officials believe that the dead fish are most likely the result of a virus. There have also been similar reports of dead fish on Cayuga Lake. The Auburn Citizen has a nice article this morning explaining the situation.
